Bill Lyerly BandList Item 1
September 12
6:00 - 7:15pm
Bill Lyerly is a well-known American roots rock artist from the US East Coast. He has performed on 3 continents and his music is aired on AM, FM, satellite and internet radio stations all over the world. In 1978 a producer at RCA Records had heard an “album” Bill had recorded at a small North Carolina studio. A year later Lyerly signed with RCA and joined Waylon Jennings as the only artist permitted to use his road band on his recordings. Two years later, after Bill’s song “My Baby´s Coming Home” and his cover of “Mystery Train” had won him recognition and radio play around the world, the Lyerly-RCA relationship had become beyond counseling. Lyerly had become fed up with RCA’s ultimatums to go to Nashville and record slick records. To him that meant “selling out”. WhenRoy Dea, one of Nashville´s last great old-school producers, decided to form his own label, LSI, Lyerly went with him. Lyerly’s follow up album to "Prodigal Son" was “Higher Ground”, and it had a progressive rock and roll and blues approach that had not been heard before in Nashville.
In 1998 “Railroad Station Blues” (Riviere International Records) was released in the US and Europe, receiving instant, rave reviews in Living Blues and Blues Revue. In 1999 “Cobalt Blues” (Broadcast Records) was released. This amazingly poetic and haunting line-up of songs was nominated for a total of five CAMMY Awards with Lyerly taking home Best New Artist in 2000. Also, in 2000, Lyerly’s “Motel Room Blues” (Ripete Blues) was released, receiving more 5 star reviews and worldwide airplay.
"Railroad Station Blues", "Cobalt Blues" & "Motel Room Blues" are now officially OUT OF PRINT. Lyerly has currently released 11 Abbey Road Studios remasters, done by Academy Award winning mastering engineer Christian Wright, of selected songs from those three CDs. The new CD, “Case of Jones”, includes a duet with multi-Grammy award winner Steve Earle and appears on OK MA Records courtesy of Executive Producer- Teresa Knox.
Bill Lyerly has performed with:
Gregg Allman, Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker, John Mayall, Levon Helm, Paul Rodgers, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Marshall Tucker Band, Foghat, Emmy Lou Harris,
Delbert McClinton, Dickey Betts, Eric Burdon, The Outlaws, Steve Earle, Leon Russell, Steppenwolf, Wet Willie, Rick Nelson, Bill Monroe, Molly Hatchet, .38 Special …………….and many more

Shoot to ThrillList Item 2
September 12
8:05 - 9:45pm
Shoot To Thrill includes Kara (vocals), Susan (guitar), Jai (bass), Wendy (guitar) and Kate (drums). Not only are the girls professional musicians with impeccable skills, they are also quite easy on the eyes and full of energy for an entertaining stage show!
The girls decided on AC/DC in particular, because the band's songs are a marriage of compelling music and creative story-telling. The guitar work is intricate yet not overplayed, while the rhythms are driving and dynamic. The silence is as important as the noise, and the lyrics are relatable and captivating. You just HAVE to sing along....or air-guitar….or BOTH!
The girls decided to do a full tribute rather than a cover band, because a tribute is much more challenging. You play many songs by the same artist and really reach inside that artist copying not only their playing style but also their signature stage moves. It's really quite an art and very rewarding when you make it all come together.
Shoot To Thrill is based out of Raleigh, NC and tours all along the East Coast. The girls look forward to meeting you and rocking you into an unbelievable frenzy of good times!

Tea Cup Gin
September 13
4:00 - 5:30pm
The members of Tea Cup Gin share a passion for crafting original indie-jazz-blues cocktails under the influence of an eclectic blend of early 20th century musical genres. The band stirs together unique melodies and lyrics, served up on two blazing guitars, with impassioned vocals, dynamic upright bass & percussion, and occasional guests on trombone, trumpet, violin, sax, & more.
Why the name Tea Cup Gin? During prohibition, speakeasies served up bootleg gin in ordinary tea cups to hide what was inside. Although our original songs may look innocent enough on the outside, you’ll soon taste a deliciously intoxicating blend of unexpected ingredients. “TEA CUP GIN” evokes vintage speakeasy sounds, while being catchier than saying “you can’t judge a book by it’s cover!”
